The Youth Strength Academy
All Core Gym Performance is proud to introduce our exclusive student focused Strength Academy program. “Children are children” and “The Adult within” programs were developed and formed in 2007 in Galway’s first private Strength and Conditioning training facility.
We are now locating to Galway City, where we have supervised many amateur teams across various sports (u16-Adult) and have had the opportunity of working with Connacht rugby age grade development squads and continue to do so in a voluntary capacity. We have been involved with 100s of some excellent young and future county, provincial and national athletes across Ireland, representing rugby, soccer, GAA, swimming, triathlon and other sports.
Who is it for?
Connacht youths Strength Academy is designed specifically for young clients 1st through 6th year grades (13-18 year olds). The goal of resistance training for youth players is to help enhance physical fitness and improve sport performance and to reduce the probability of injury during sport and recreational activities. The major benefits include:
- Increased muscular strength and local muscular endurance (i.e., the ability of a muscle or muscles to perform multiple repetitions against a given resistance)
- Decreased injuries in sports and recreational activities
- Improved performance capacity in sports and recreational activities
